The journey from Vilhelmina to Stekenjokk offers constantly changing views. Rushing rapids throw themselves over the rocky cliffs, surrounded by deep forests. Higher up, the landscape opens up to mountains, lakes, and vast fields under a dramatic sky. The water follows us through nature – sometimes wild and powerful, sometimes calm between the soft shapes of the mountains. Back in Vilhelmina, we are greeted by charming wooden houses in red and black, where the historical environment forms a warm contrast to Stekenjokk's barren expanses. Four images from a journey filled with water, mountain air, and Västerbotten history.
